Revent Oven Cleaning

Employee cleaning an oven rack with a washcloth - Revent oven cleaning

By the very nature of baking, it’s only a matter of time before you start seeing the evidence of toasted bread crumbs, dried-on cheese, batter drippings and oil splatters decorating the interior like frosting on a cake. Not only can this be unsightly, but the flammable essence of grease can pose a fire hazard if Revent oven cleaning and maintenance are neglected. Not to mention how your baked goods will absorb the burnt smells and flavors of past cooking endeavors.

To ensure quality, safety and brand reputation, follow our Revent oven cleaning guide for popular deck and imperial oven models, such as 624, 649, 726, 724 and more.

How to Clean Revent Oven Door Glass

If food is the way to one’s heart, then the glass is the window to your oven’s soul, and it needs to be kept clean and clear for optimal food-viewing conditions. Here’s how you can put a sparkle into your Revent oven door glass:

  • Step 1. Turn off the oven – For your safety, as well as your equipment, it's always a good idea to turn off your oven and wait for it to cool before beginning any cleaning procedures.
  • Step 2. Mix hot water and liquid detergent – In a bowl, mix a solution of hot water and a mild liquid detergent. This will not only fight tough grease stains, but it’s food-safe and won’t expose your recipes to harsh chemicals found in other cleaners.
  • Step 3. Wipe down the glass – Use a soft sponge or cloth to wipe down the glass, scrubbing at the baked-on grease.
  • Step 4. Rinse and dry – Before you call it quits, do another pass over the glass with fresh water and a clean rag to rinse off any leftover cleaning residue.

How to Clean Revent Oven Interior

Due to the nature of baking and the release of fats and oils, you’ll need to clean your Revent oven interior at the end of every day.

  • Step 1. Turn off the oven – Make sure the oven is switched off and cooled down before cleaning your Revent oven.
  • Step 2. Sweep out the oven – With a brush or broom, sweep out the inside of your oven, removing large chunks of burnt food.
  • Step 3. Wash the interior – Using baking soda, borax, or sodium perborate, or any non-chlorine detergent, scrub down the interior. You can use a Scotch Brite pad or any non-metallic sponge to break up those baked-on, tougher stains.
    • Note: Never use steel or non-stainless steel wool to clean the interior, as this could scratch or corrode the metal.
  • Step 4. Rinse and dry – Wet a fresh cloth to rinse the interior and dry. And that’s how you clean a Revent oven!

How to Clean Revent Oven Exterior

Appearances are everything, and that stands true for commercial kitchens, especially if you have an open-ended design. Not only is maintaining a clean workspace vital to preventing food-borne illnesses, but it can keep you prepared for upcoming inspections.

  • Step 1. Turn off the oven – Make sure the oven is switched off and cooled down before cleaning your Revent oven.
  • Step 2. Polish the stainless steel – To clean the stainless steel exterior, apply baking soda, borax, or sodium perborate, or any non-chlorine detergent. Just make sure to wipe away the cleaning residue with a wet cloth.
    • Note: Never use steel or non-stainless steel wool to clean the exterior, as this could scratch or corrode the metal.
  • Step 3. Remove grease spots – Greasy fingerprints and smudges are bound to upset the sleek exterior by the end of the working day. To prevent these stains from setting, you can apply a dab of Vienna lime and polish with the grain.
  • Step 4. Clean the instrument panel – Mix hot water and mild liquid detergent in a bowl. Use a clean cloth or soft sponge to wipe down the instrument panel. To call it a wrap, rinse with clean water and pat dry. And that’s how you clean a Revent oven exterior!

Revent Oven Filter Cleaning

The grease filters in your Revent oven help remove fats and oils that become airborne during cooking. To prevent grease fires and improve the air quality in your commercial kitchen, the manufacturer recommends cleaning them once a month. Fortunately, the procedure is fairly straightforward and hands-off: send them through a dishwasher cycle.
