Wilbur Curtis Coffee Grinder Programming Instructions
While the default settings on Wilbur Curtis coffee grinders are fine for most needs, you can adjust the timer as needed to achieve the desired size and texture. This guide is for digital interlock units in the ILGD series, such as the ILGD-10 and ILGD-31.
- Step 1. Place a filter under the spout - Put a paper coffee filter under the grinder spout to catch any granules that may come out of the machine.
- Step 2. Turn off the unit - Use the On/Off switch to power down the machine.
- Step 3. Press and hold the desired grind button - Press and hold the grind button (Large, Medium or Small) for the setting you wish to change. Both the left and right grind button sets function the same, so you can use either side.
- Step 4. Press and release the On/Off button - Access the programming mode by pushing and then releasing the On/Off switch while continuing to hold one of the grind buttons.
- Step 5. Note the current timer setting - Look at the timer screen and take note of the current time setting (in seconds) for the selected grind button.
- Step 6. Clear the current timer setting - Continue holding down the selected grind button until the timer setting on the screen reads “00”.
- Step 7. Select the new timer setting - Keep holding down the desired grind button to increase the number on the screen from 0. Once you reach the desired time in seconds, release the button.
- Step 8. Wait for the motor to stop - Wait 10 seconds for the motor to fully stop before proceeding.
- Step 9. Save the new timer setting - Exit programming mode by pressing and releasing any other grind button.
- Step 10. Remove the coffee filter - Discard the coffee filter once the programming process is complete.
- Step 11. Use the unit normally - You may now resume normal operation of the machine.
