Insinger Dishwasher Troubleshooting

A commercial kitchen is at a standstill when the dishwasher isn’t working correctly. These appliances are essential for clean and sanitary dishware. If you need help with your Insinger dishwasher troubleshooting, we have you covered. Below we will go over the major problems and what might be the cause. 

The following troubleshooting guide is designed for the Insinger RL-30 model dishwasher. 

Machine Continues to Fill

  • Pressure switch blocked - Make sure that the pressure switch doesn’t have any soil blockage at the opening of the tub. 
  • Pressure switch connections loose - Check that the pressure switch connections are tight and secure. Loose connections will cause filling malfunctions.
  • Pressure valve isn’t working - The pressure valve needs to be working for the machine to stop filling correctly. Check the valve and make sure it isn’t broken.
  • Solenoid valve isn’t working - If the solenoid valve isn’t working, the machine will continue to fill. Check this valve and ensure that it isn’t broken.

Machine Fails to Fill

  • No water supply - First check that the water supply to the machine is running and is on. 
  • Solenoid valve isn’t working - If the solenoid valve isn’t working, the machine will continue to fill. Check this valve and ensure that it isn’t broken.

Wash Temperature Incorrect

  • Dishwasher door not closed - An open dishwasher door can change the temperature. Make sure it is firmly closed.
  • Door switch isn’t working - Make sure that the door switch isn’t broken and is functioning correctly. 
  • Thermostat isn’t right temperature - Look at the thermostat to ensure that it is set to the right temperature. 
  • Thermostat isn’t working - A broken thermostat will cause the wash temperature to be incorrect. Verify that the thermostat is working properly.

Rinse Temperature Incorrect

  • Thermostat isn’t right temperature - Look at the thermostat to ensure that it is set to the right temperature. 
  • Thermostat isn’t working - A broken thermostat will cause the rinse temperature to be incorrect. Verify that the thermostat is working properly.
  • Contactor isn’t working - Check the contactor to make sure that it’s working correctly. A broken contactor will cause wrong rinse temperatures.
  • Heater isn’t working - Make sure that the heater is working correctly. A broken heater will result in cold rinse water. 

Machine Continues to Wash

  • Delime switch is depressed - Make sure that the delime switch isn’t depressed. 
  • Rinse temperature hasn’t reached set limit - Check if the rinse temperature is reaching the set limit. 
  • Cam timer isn’t working - Check that the cam timer is working properly. 

Machine Will Not Drain

  • Drain delay timer settings wrong - Check and verify that the drain delay timer settings are correct. 
  • Drain pump isn’t working - Check that the drain pump is working correctly.

Machine Will Not Start

  • Switch start wasn’t pressed - Try to press the start switch for 1 second to see if it will start. 
  • S1 & S2 of cam timer aren't closed - Make sure that the S1 and S2 of the cam timer are closed, if they are not the machine won’t start. 
  • Contactor KM3 isn’t energized - Check that the contactor KM3 is energized.
