Pitco Fryer OneTouch Controller Programming

The OneTouch controller provides a streamlined way for you to use your Pitco fryer. Thanks to its touchscreen and operational capabilities, it’s an ideal companion for any Solstice or ROV fryer. They’re also programmable, making the food prep process a breeze. Learn how to program your Pitco fryer’s OneTouch controller with our guide below.
How to Add a Group
- Step 1—Press the “+Group” button on the display.
- Step 2—Press the “Existing” button to add an existing group to the lane. Click on the desired group, then press “Next.”
- Step 3—Press the “New” button to add a new group to the lane. The screen will prompt you to add a name. Input the name and press the “->” to save.
- Step 4—Select your desired recipe(s) to add to the new group, then press the “Next” button twice when prompted.
- Step 5—Sort the recipes by dragging and dropping them to organize, then press the “Next” button to continue.
- Step 6—If you need to add more recipes, press the “+Recipes” button, then select which recipe(s) you want to include.
How to Edit a Group
Editing a Group Name
- Step 1—Select the name of the group you want to edit.
- Step 2—Input the new group name, then press the “->” to save.
- Step 3—If you need to undo the change, the screen will display a pop-up prompt for a few seconds to revert the recent change.
Removing a Group
- Step 1—On the Group Attributes screen, select the “Remove Group” option to remove it from All Recipes.
- Step 2—The screen will then display a message asking you to confirm the removal. Press “Remove” to confirm.
- NOTE—You may also press “Don’t Remove” if needed.
How to Edit a Recipe
Editing a Group Recipe
- Step 1—Select the “Edit Recipes” option on the display.
- Step 2—Press the round pencil icon in the upper right corner of the recipe.
- Step 3—Press the camera icon with the + symbol to add a new image to the recipe. Images can be selected from the Images library, the Icons library, a USB or through Middleby Connect.
- NOTE—If you choose a selection from the Icon library, you have the option to change the background color.
- Step 4—Press the “Next” button to save changes. If you need to undo the change, the screen will display a pop-up prompt for a few seconds to revert the recent change.
- Step 5—Select the name of the recipe you want to edit.
- Step 6—Input the new recipe name, then press the “->” to save. If you need to undo the change, the screen will display a pop-up prompt for a few seconds to revert the recent change.
Changing Recipe Attributes
- Step 1—Select the field next to the Recipe Attributes. On this screen, you can edit the Hold Time, Hold Pre-Alarm, Safe Temp and Cook Filter Weight. Choose the attribute you want to change and make your edits using the keypad and arrow keys. Press the “->” button to save the changes and continue to the next field.
- Step 2—Press the “Next” button to return to the Editable Settings screen.
Changing the Cook Settings
- Step 1—Select the specific recipe you want to modify.
- Step 2—Select the Title, Cook Time or Temperature setting you would like to change.
- Step 3—Choose the field next to the setting and make your changes using the keypad.
- Step 4— Press the “->” button to save the changes and continue to the next field. If you need to undo the change, the screen will display a pop-up prompt for a few seconds to revert the recent change.
Adding or Removing a Recipe Stage
- Step 1—Tap the circle + symbol in the upper-right corner of the Recipe Editing screen.
- Step 2—Select the stage you want to edit by using the arrow keys.
- Step 3—Select the fields you want to edit and update by using the keypads.
- Step 4—Save the edits you’ve made by pressing the “Save” button.
- Step 5—Remove a stage or stages by pressing the trashcan icon in the top-right corner of the active stage field.
- Step 6—A screen will appear on the display asking you to confirm your choice. Press “Delete” to delete the stage, or press “Cancel” if you do not want to remove the stage.
- Step 7—Move the stage either by dragging and dropping it using the display, or by using the arrows on the active field (highlighted in blue).
Adding or Removing a Comment on a Recipe
- Step 1—Tap the speech bubble symbol in the upper-right corner of the Recipe Editing screen to add a comment.
- Step 2—Tap the “Add Comment” field and type in your comment using the keypad. Press the “->” button to save changes.
- Step 3—Save the edits you’ve made by pressing the “Save” button.
- Step 4—Remove a comment by pressing the trashcan icon in the top-right corner of the active comment field.
- Step 5—A screen will appear on the display asking you to confirm your choice. Press “Delete” to delete the comment, or press “Cancel” if you do not want to remove it.
- Step 6—Repeat Steps 1-5 as needed to add or delete a comment.
- Step 7—Move the comment either by dragging and dropping it using the display, or by using the arrows on the active field (highlighted in blue).
How to Set Shake Timers
- Step 1—On the Editable Settings screen, select the “edit Shake Timers” option.
- Step 2—Adjust the shake time using the keypad. By default, the shake time will be 0 unless it’s been modified before.
- Step 3—Once you’re done editing, use the “->” button to save changes.
- Step 4—If needed, another shake time. Once you’re done making your edits, press the “Next” button.
How to Copy a Recipe to a Group
- Step 1—Select “Copy to Group” in the Editable Settings screen to copy active recipes to a different group.
- Step 2—Tap the group you want to copy the recipe to. If you need to undo the change, the screen will display a pop-up prompt for a few seconds to revert the recent change. Press the “Skip” button to skip the change.
How to Move a Recipe to a Group
- Step 1—Select “Move to Group” in the Editable Settings screen to move active recipes to a different group.
- Step 2—Tap the group you want to move the recipe to. If you need to undo the change, the screen will display a pop-up prompt for a few seconds to revert the recent change. Press the “Skip” button to skip the change.
