Preventative Maintenance Tasks

To make sure your PizzaMaster electric oven continues to perform as it should, be sure to the following tasks:

  • Clean the oven daily - Make sure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions to ensure the oven is cleaned properly.
  • Inspect the light covers - Ensure the light covers are intact and securely in place. If the right side light cover is broken or missing, immediately replace it with the left side light cover. Failure to do so may result in damage to the oven’s electrical components.
  • Inspect the lights - Ensure both lights are properly working. If one light is broken, replace both bulbs at the same time and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Lubricate the door bushings weekly - Make sure to always use a non-toxic, high temperature food grade lubricant.
  • Have an authorized servicer perform flue and exhaust cleaning every 6 months - Doing so can minimize the risk of fire and prevent damage to the oven.
  • Vacuum under stones every 6-8 months.
  • Inspect and replace worn gaskets - Gaskets help maintain a proper seal on your oven's door. Be sure to inspect your oven's gaskets quarterly and replace them no later than every 6-12 months. You can find the gasket for your particular model here.
