Blendtec Immersion Blender Cleaning Instructions

A Blendtec immersion blender is a nifty tool in any kitchen. Capable of chopping, blending and mixing in a handheld format, this whirly wonder makes food prep simple. In order to keep your immersion blender sanitary and functioning properly, it’s important that you regularly clean it and the accompanying attachments. Learn how to do so with our guide below.
How To Clean a Blendtec Immersion Blender
- Step 1—Unplug the blender and detach all accessories.
- Step 2—With a damp cloth, wipe down the motor unit, whisk adapter, chopper adapter and blending bar. Do not immerse these parts in water. The other accessories can be cleaned in the dishwasher or washed in the sink.
- Step 3—To remove stuck-on food off the blade or whisk, fill the mixing container with water and a drop of dish detergent. Plug in the power cord and then immerse the blade end or whisk in the water. Turn on the blender and let the accessory mix in the soapy water for about 10 seconds. Then turn off the blender, unplug the unit and let the accessory dry.
- Step 4—Once clean, store the blender in a well-ventilated area to avoid any damage to the motor.
