Ditting Grinder Troubleshooting

For any coffee shop or restaurant, a Ditting coffee grinder is a necessity. So if something’s amiss and your grinder isn’t acting as it should, you’ve got to find the cause and solution quick. Below are some troubleshooting tips for your Ditting grinder in case you find yourself in a jam.
This troubleshooting guide is applicable for the KR1203 and KR1403 models.
Problem: Grinder is Making Noise, but isn't Grinding
Causes
- Spout is clogged
- Grinding setting is too fine
- Foreign object in the grinding mechanism
Solutions
- Change the grinding setting to the coarsest grind and start grinding. Wait for the grinder to clear itself, then change the setting to your desired consistency.
- Actuate the grinder knocker a few times to clear the blockage.
- Contact an authorized service agent to have the grinder checked.
Problem: Grinder isn’t Making Noise and isn't Grinding
Causes
- Grinder isn’t plugged into power source
- Grinder isn’t turned on
- Overcurrent circuit breaker was tripped
- Electrical fuse was tripped
Solutions
- Plug in the unit.
- Turn on the grinder.
- Check the release button of the overcurrent circuit breaker. If it’s popped out, push it back in. If this issue persists, contact an authorized service agent.
- Check the fuse and replace it if necessary. If this issue persists, contact an authorized service agent.
Problem: Grinder isn’t Grinding Finely Enough
Causes
- Grinder discs are worn out
- Grinder discs aren’t aligned
Solution
- Contact an authorized service agent.
